Considered as one of the busiest place in Bongao, the
Old Chinese Pier is a place where seafaring traders from other island municipalities of Tawi-Tawi and Sulu provinces, and even from neighboring Sabah and Indonesia converge to market a variety of marine and agricultural products.
I was amazed with what I saw during our visit particularly the abundant marine products. Tawi-Tawi is indeed very rich in marine resources.
Check out the following photos below.
The people at the pier are used to visitors. They are very welcoming, always wear their smiles and willing to assist tourists.

The port is also a melting pot of diverse cultures from the different tribes thriving in Tawi-Tawi that is composed of more than 300 islands.
For tourists, the Old Chinese Pier is a major gateway to visit, discover and enjoy the hidden treasures, unspoiled beauty, pristine waters and white sand beaches that the islands of Tawi-Tawi offers.
