The 16-foot-long saltwater crocodile (Crocodylus porosus) which was captured by fisherfolk on September 8, 2017 is another attraction in the island municipality of Simunul in Tawi-Tawi.
Simunul is known for being the place where Arab missionary Sheik Karimul Makhdum first introduced Islam in the Philippines and where the first and the oldest mosque in the country can be found.
