The municipality of Datu Odin Sinsuat, formely called Dinaig, is a 1st class municipality in the Province of Maguindanao. It is named after the first municipal mayor of Dinaig, Datu Odin Sinsuat.
The town with its numerous attractions both nature and cultural is fast becoming a major tourist destination of Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. The town is known for its attractions including Mt. Minandar, resorts and beaches in Kusiong, the enchanted Blue Lagoon, Abpi White Mosque, Sifaran Falls and many others.
The Al Jamela Weaving Center, where the famous Maguindanaoan woven fabric "inaul" is made, and Mindanao State University - Maguindanao campus are also located in Datu Odin Sinsuat town.
This coming November 29- December 15, Dato Odin Sinsuat will be celebrating its 23rd Founding Anniversary. The celebration will kick-off with the opening of the trade fair on November 29 with other exciting activities including a photography competition that is open to all the barangays of DOS; sports activitiles like basketball, billiards, boat race, volleyball and cycling; mural painting competition; a climbing event to Mt. Minandar; traditional sports including Sipa sa Mankis and Kulintang competition; sing and dance competitions; calling of Azan competition; beach concert and many more.
The culmination program will be held on December 15.
