Known as the ‘Cultural Festival’ of General Santos City, Kalilangan celebrates the shared histories among the tri-people (the Lumads, Muslims and Christians), especially focusing on their cooperation, unity and harmonious co-existence with a recognition of their rich cultural heritage and vibrant traditions.
Kalilangan was derived from a Maguindanaon word “Kalilang” which typically means celebration or commemoration.
