The annual Ramadan Fair at the ORG Compound in Cotabato City was formally opened last Friday, May 11.
Participated by local entrepreneurs, the Ramadan Fair features at least 75 booths showcasing different products, both food and non-food from different parts of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
Twenty (20) of these booths were subsidized by the ARMM government for entrepreneurs from Marawi City and Lanao del Sur who were affected by last year's siege. The Office of the Regional Governor provided grants of P30,000 for capital and P10,000 for the tools they needed to take their business in Cotabato City as well as food and accommodation during their stay throughout the trade fair.
The fair which opens from 3 PM- 10 PM daily also features a nightly program which covers a wide range of Islamic topics hosted by the different ARMM line agencies.
The Ramadan Fair is just one of the activities of Pakaradjaan 2018. It will run until June 15.
