With less tha a month before the opening, preparations for this year's Inaul Festival in Province of Maguindanao is now in full swing. A celebration of Maguindanao's rich cultural heritage, Inaul Festival this year will be held from February 7-14.
Inaul is the prized handwoven fabric of Maguindanao. Meticulously woven by mostly women weavers, Inaul reflects the vibrant culture of Maguindanao and has become one of the well-known and unique cultural emblems of the province.

From what we know, the provincial government of Maguindanao has allocated a bigger budget for this year's Inaul Festival compared to previous celebrations. With an increased budget, this could only mean that this year's Inaul Festival is going to be a lot bigger and grander.
"Gawin nating mas maganda. Ito na yung panahon na ipakita natin kung ano meron tayo, ang ating kultura", said Maguindanao Governor Ismael "Toto" Mangudadatu in one of the meetings in preparation for Inaul Festival this year.
