Maisan Na! at Meguyaya Festival of Upi, Maguindanao

The Municipality of Upi in Province of Maguindanao celebrates every month of December the Meguyaya Festival. 

"Meguyaya" is Teduray term for merrymaking and thanksgiving for bountiful harvest. 

One of its highly-anticipated activities every year is the "Maisan Na!" wherein residents of Upi with their visitors gather together at the town plaza and enjoy roasting corns (the towns main produce). 

The event symbolizes unity among the people of Upi, togetherness, and feasting.
