Thousands of tourists are once again expected to visit the town of Glan in Sarangani next week - October 3-8 as the town which is famous for white sand beaches and the biggest beach party in the country every summer is set to celebrate its 105th Founding Anniversary and the 20th Lubi- Lubi sa Glan Festival.
Preparations are now in full swing and the Lubi- Lubi sa Glan Festival 2019 Schedule of Activities was already released.
Named after the town's major product - the coconut, Lubi- Lubi sa Glan Festival highlights the "Tree of Life" as the major source of livelihood of the people of Glan.
It is said that almost 90% of Glan's total land area is planted with coconut making the town as one of the top producer of coconut in the region.
This year's Lubi-lubi sa Glan Festival theme is "Glan at 105: Moving towards progress through tourism and cultural preservation".
