Aside from the
Ramadan Fair, another attraction at the ORG Compound in Cotabato City this month is the
Mosques Around the World Exhibit which was formally opened to the public last May 11.
The exhibit features a total of 24 miniatures of the world's most beautiful and popular mosques. These includes the St. Petersburg Mosque in Russia; The Great Mosque of Touba in Senegal; Al-Masjid An-Nabawi in Medina, Saudi Arabia; Akmad Kadyrov Mosque in Russia; The Great Mosque of Xi'an in China; Hassan II Mosque in Morroco; Der Mosque in Albania; the "Red Mosque" in Sri Lanka; the Crystal Mosque in Malaysia; Koutoubia Mosque in Morroco; Abuja National Mosque of Nigeria; The Great Mosque of Djenne in Mali; Umayyad Mosque of Syria; Shait Gambuj Mosque in Bangladesh; Masjid Al-Irsyad in Indonesia; The Great Mosque of Mecca in Saudi Arabia; Abdullah Fahim Mosque in Malaysia; Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque in Cyprus; Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, UAE; Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque in Brunei; Emin Mosque in Xinjiang, China; Larabanga Mosque in Ghana; Qolsarif Mosque in Russia; Xining Dongguan Grand Mosque in Xining, China; and the
Sheikhzayed Grand Mosque in United Arab Emirates.
The Mosques Around the World is a competition participated by the different ARMM line agencies and offices. Participating agencies were asked to construct a three-dimensional miniature replicas of renowned mosques from different parts of the world to be displayed in a 1.5 cubic-meter glass box.

The Mosques Around the World exhibit is part of the celebration of
Pakaradjaan 2018 and the Holy Month of Ramadan.
It is located outside the Office of the Regional Governor’s building.
